The second submission to Platinum Studios done by way of ECV Press. This is TRIXIE DYNAMITE! Our only hope against the Imminent Alien Invasion! I am working to get the entire project done by Sacramento locals. Writing, Pencils, Inks, Colors and lettering will be done by the Sacramento creative crowd. Keep checking back for more!

Page 2 in the Hank Houston submission project. I am working on getting the 3 pages inked, lettered and colored. I am also refining the synopsis for submission and working on an outline for the first 6 issue story arch. Even if nothing comes of this now it is a story I would like to publish myself.

Head of Security

Here is the head of security aboard the ETHOS. More of a freelance merc than actual security. She is a take no prisoners and ask questions later kind of woman. It can get dangerous traveling through space and she is exactly the kind of woman you want on your side.

Page 1 in the submission packet for Hank Houston. The idea is fun because I am a huge sci-fi fan and we get to play around with making our own worlds as well as pay homage to the golden age sci-fi movies, comics, books, audios, etc. that we all love. If I can find a way to mention Logan's Run in some way I most certainly will!

Another Early Design

Here is another early concept design when we were trying to decide which direction to take the book. The backgrounds are very much like the final product but neither of the characters made the final cut.

I thought I would change it up today and rather than post another character or ship design show one of the layout sketches that Mario did. This is page 24. Right smack dab in the middle of the story.

This is the design we used for Dr. Tanya Agas in NEEDS OF THE FEW.

NEEDS OF THE FEW takes place aboard Ethos, an exploration vessel on it's way back to Earth. Dr. Tanya Agas has discovered a problem. However, this is not the Dr Tanya Agas that you will meet in the 1-Shot. Her post will be next.

Initial Designs for Ethos Interior

When we were first starting NEEDS OF THE FEW the exact designs of our story were a toss up. Was it going to be a classic Sci-fi feel or a gritty Heavy Metal tone. Eventually the Heavy Metal dirty look won out and these early prototypes were scrapped. It doesn't mean we wont use them for something else...

NEW Sci-Fi Project

ECV Press is keeping us busy...NOT busy enough for me to stop working on side projects! Here is a look at a 48 page stand alone book that I am working on called NEEDS OF THE FEW. The artist is Mario Guevara. He did a couple of the early ECV Press webcomics then moved on to Bloodrayne from Digital Webbing, just completed Lone Ranger & Tonto through Dynamite Entertainment and is working on Solomon Kane at Dark Horse!
